We Visited Four Brothers Drive-In

We snuck in one more drive-in night before the season wrapped and caught a double feature at Four Brothers Drive-In in Amenia. If you're picturing a dusty lot and a big screen, think again. This place is a whole night out.

Come early, stay late. There's plenty to do before the movie starts: yard games, mini golf, a playground, an arcade and a fire pit lounge. On cold nights you can rent a fire pit and turn your spot into a cozy hangout. If you'd rather stay the night, the Hotel Caravana Airstreams each come with their own deck and fire pit, and there are a few tent camping sites too. Bringing the dog? Pups are welcome. It was also the first drive-in to add EV charging stations.

Two ways to eat. You can order from The Shack or from the full Four Brothers restaurant, and both offer car hop service. We kept it classic with Shack food: wings, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks and fries to share, eaten from the trunk of the car while the movie played. Everything was good drive-in food that hit the spot. Next time I want to try more of the menu, starting with a milkshake. The Shack's board has a whole lineup of premium shakes, and this season added a new "Dubai" shake with pistachio and chocolate.

Pro tip: Buy your tickets online ahead of time. It makes getting through the gate a lot faster, so you can get straight to the mini golf or the food line.
