We Visited Pipinelli's Pizza Parlor

📍 Poughkeepsie · Pizza
If you grew up on New York slice shops, Pipinelli's will feel like home. Tucked into the Southside of Poughkeepsie on Hooker Ave, this spot gets both the taste and the ambience right. Walk in and you're in an authentic NY pizza parlor: no gimmicks, just great pie.
What sets them apart is the bake. Pipinelli's runs their pies well done, so that char you see on the crust is flavor, not burn. Our pepperoni slice came out with crispy cupped pepperoni, a sturdy crust, and a dusting of grated cheese. It was great from first bite to last.
The menu goes way past the classic slice, with local favorites like the vodka, the tie dye, and the Clam pizza. The Clam is Friday and Saturday only, first come, first served. They have indoor and outdoor seating, so it works year-round. Not only do they have pizza, they have delicious sandwiches, wings and more!
And word is getting out. Pipinelli's has picked up serious buzz lately after visits from social media star Druski and Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy. Our advice: get there before the lines do.
Order this: Uncle Pauly’s, Wings, Meatball Parm · 256 Hooker Ave, Poughkeepsie · See Pipinelli's on HV Local →
